This time team member Dylan Benoit is in mainland China on a research and development trip and he stopped by the manufacturing facility where the second generation of our Timber Line Series frames is just being completed.
The Timber Lines are a limited production wood and acetate plastic hybrid frame. They are manufactured using state of the art milling machines to form the basic shapes before skilled craftsmen sand, paint, stain, polish and assemble our glasses by hand. This hand finishing process ensures each pair is of the highest quality and doesn’t leave the facility unless it lives up to the Peripheral brand standards.
This new series includes our two classic Timber Line colours, black and tortoise shell, and introduces two new colours, gray smoke and golden silk. Each colour combination comes with its own complimenting wood timbers, polarized lenses and for the first time, matching acetate tips for added style and durability.
The Timber Line series will be shipping out from the facility soon and will be available on the website in a few weeks. In the meantime, Dylan is off to Taiwan to check out the manufacturing facility that produces our Support Series eyewear. He will be visiting next week so stay tuned for updates!
