Leelan Moore is an 11 year old student who attends Sir John A Cumber Primary School.
The story begins 3 years ago when Leelan started swinging a golf club that his big brother, AJ, gave him. Last year the North Sound Golf Club came to SJAC Primary and offered Leelan an opportunity to play golf at the club every week. Leelan was so excited and jumped at the chance to practice golf and to continue to improve on his skills. He came home day after day with stories of his time on the course and would go outside and hit golf balls into to back yard. Thankfully there are no other homes in the back.
Leelan also plays soccer and basketball and loves to fish. He is always willing to try any sport and will put his best effort into them all. I would say he get his athletic gene from his grandfather Alistair Alexander (whom the Cayman Rugby club's Dart Alexander memorial cup is named after) and his aunt, Cristin Alexander, who has represented the Cayman Islands in volleyball for many years.
Not only is Leelan a promising young athlete, he also does extremely well in school and is the top Maths student in year 6.
